I just recently discovered The Free Design. My friend sang Kites are Fun in a high school chorus back in the late ’60s and recently found the song on YouTube. He shared the video with me. I bought the MP3 downloads of the album on Amazon.com. I’ve been hooked on it ever since. This album has changed my life. Even though I didn’t know the music when I was growing up in the ’60s and ’70s, it reminds me of those days and the happy childhood I almost had. And it makes me know that I was okay back then.
I`m a german fan of the Beach Boys since 1979. From the moment on I listened to the Free Design`s version of Bruce Johnston`s “Endless Harmony” from the Beach Boys` Keepin`The Summer Alive album I became a great fan of The Free Design, too. I kept all the Albums and I`m still excited. The photos are interesting, beautiful, moving and also not without a sense of humour. Hope the Free Design will record new songs soon… Love, Harald.
Thanks sooooo much for your contribution to music.
Brings back so many wonderful memories for me. In 1967 I was 12 years old and bands like yours had so much positive influnce on me. Being a young musician at that time, I really looked up to you guys.
I still get such a great feeling of peace and comfort when I listen to your music.
My favs are Friendly Man and There is A Song.
Thank you Thank you! Always……

Stumbled upon Love You at the end credits of Stranger Than Fiction, looked up the band, and discovered this site. Wonderful music.
